Unlike the 4-cycle engines used on other edgers, the TLE-550 2-cycle engine has no oil reservoir to worry about and provides more power from smaller displacement with less weight and longer life. It has no belt to stretch slip, or break, and delivers more torque straight through a steel drive shaft to a gear-set for more cutting power.
The TLE-550 also features a two stage, heavy duty air filter system that protects the engine in the dustiest conditions. The internal governor system maintains engine speed and helps extend engine life. The extra large fuel tank comes with a built in handle for easy lifting. Conveniently located throttle and height adjustment controls provide maximum maneuverability. The unique, fingertip height adjustment and throttle system eliminates sloppy or bulky adjustment levers.
