A digital programmable feed sensor and hourmeter are factory installed and standard equipment on the 9" Bear Cat Chipper.

The 30" diameter, 1.25" thick dynamically-balanced chipper disc weighs 275 pounds produces tremendous chipping power. A triple banded belt drive generates positive power, and a hydrostatic feed control provides the operator with infinite feed settings for all types and sizes of debris. Service and maintenance is made easy by a hinged disc cover.

Getting The Most From Your Tractor Just Got Easier

Power take offs on utility tractors have become a primary source for much of the work around farms, orchards ... any place where the need exists for turning a pile of branches into a pile of chips. You choose - self feed or hydrostatic hydraulic feed for infinite feed settings - these chippers mount on your three point hitch and hook directly to the PTO (power take off) for quick setup and power on demand.

The Forester Shredder Chipper, with its 4-inch chipping capacity, is the top of the range and intended for use in the largest gardens and estates. Its extra engine power, extra hammers and extra-large shredding chamber give it the ability to do all the jobs its smaller brothers can do but much more quickly.

The output of any shredder is directly related to its engine size and the Forester can produce over 50% more - both shredding and chipping - than the 9hp Garden Master and 150% more than the 5.5 hp machine. Its 4-inch chipper not only copes with thicker branches but handles smaller and bushier branches more quickly. In a garden where time is money, the Forester soon repays the extra outlay.

The 10-hp Lombardini diesel engine delivers the same power as the 13-hp petrol engine and offers the economy of running on agricultural diesel fuel, where this is available, and the fuel savings repay the higher initial cost over the working life of the machine.

The Forester's wide pneumatic tyres spread its load over a large surface area enabling it to be moved easily over soft ground. One person can pull it along quite easily or it can be hitched behind a tractor, ATV or ride-on mower to move it longer distances or over rough ground. The pneumatic tyres combine with the large engine muffler to reduce vibration and engine noise to a minimum.

The Forester PTO has the same shredding and chipping specification as the 13-hp Forester but is built to mount on the 3-point linkage of a category 1 agricultural tractor and operate from its rear 540-rpm power-take-off drive. Within the shredder chipper, triple A-section V-belts gear-up the PTO speed to drive the rotor at 1350 rpm.

Attaches to any category 1 agricultural or compact tractor which has a 13/8" six-spline rear PTO drive. Category 1 encompasses tractors of up to 33kW (44hp) and the smallest suitable tractor is one of 12hp. The shredder/chipper will not attach to a ride-on mower or a Countax or Westfield garden tractor.

A quick-release PTO drive shaft equipped with a radial-pin clutch that slips at a preset load of 300Nm with an audible warning is supplied with the shredder/chipper. The shaft has a 13/8" six-spline coupling at each end but other shafts can be supplied to suit old or none-standard tractors - especially old Fergies!

This is a very versatile and powerful unit which provides the transportability necessary for the largest properties and the reduced running costs of agricultural diesel fuel.
