Organic material is shredded and broken up in a crushing and cutting process that makes it ideal for composting and mulching. The blade unit is made of high grade tempered steel. Gardeners can use this tool to shred tree and hedge cuttings up to 36mm in diameter. The patented cloverleaf feed chute makes it easier to insert branches with twigs and side shoots and provides optimum user safety. If the shredder becomes jammed, it switches off automatically and can be freed of jammed branches by reversing the rotational direction. The motor and gearbox are fitted with an overload protection device, and a restart inhibitor protects the user, e.g. after short-term power failure. A wide chassis with large wheels guarantees stability and also makes the shredder easy to transport.
