Automower’s technology is also gentler than that used by most lawnmowers – or grazing animals – cutting the grass neatly, rather than tearing at it. It can be left running unattended and is safe to leave running with other animals around, since it is equipped with sensors that cause it to reverse and choose another direction if it runs into objects such as pets.
210c Automower can handle lawns of up to 500 square meters. A pair of Automowers can work as a team to cover larger lawns. 210C Automower does the mowing automatic but has to be charged manually. The machine is placed onto the grass to be cut, and when the area is finished it is moved to the next area. Automower’s electric motor uses about the same amount of electricity as a 15 Watt lightbulb and, at 63 decibels, is quieter than the typical volume of a television. Automower can be programmed to run continuously or only during certain hours on certain days.
