Grasshopper’s revolutionary new T2 In-Line Drive System with tandem pumps-in-reservoir in-line transmission (patent pending) brings space-saving front mount versatility through the gate with a power unit width of 43 inches.
Standard on both Model 616T and Model 620T, this unique, direct drive design couples engine to transmission without belts and pulleys, and more efficiently transfers engine power to the cutting deck. As a result, the transmission facilitates faster forward mowing speeds up to 8.5 mph and 5.5 mph in reverse.
Co-designed by Grasshopper and Parker specifically for mowing applications, the T2 In-Line Drive System utilizes fewer moving parts and features high-torque Parker wheel motors, a replaceable, high-efficiency 7-micron absolute filter and in-line CoolFan™ hydro cooling system for long-running performance and dependability.

This unique design eliminates the alignment hassles often associated with switching implements, letting you change deck sizes or add all-season implements in minutes without tools.
Grasshopper's exclusive PowerFold® (patent pending) option for 48-, 52-, and 61-inch DuraMax® decks combine the ease of electric height adjustment with effortless deck lifting. Available as a factory-installed option or dealer-installed (52- & 61-inch decks), the dual-purpose design of PowerFold® controls both cutting height and deck lift functions with a single switch. An optional armrest switch allows cutting height adjustment on the fly without leaving the operator’s seat.
Activating the switch effortlessly rotates the deck upright, simplifying underside access for blade replacement or sharpening, mulching kit installation or removal, or deck cleaning, while creating a shorter overall length for easy transport or storage. The same switch lets the operator select an infinite range of cutting heights between 1 and 4.5 inches without having to leave the operator's seat.
